The Roman Catholic Church of the Epiphany in New York City’s Gramercy area was founded in 1868 by Father Richard Lalor Burtsell.
The Epiphany, located on 2nd Avenue and 22nd Street, is a parish of the Archdiocese of New York. The parish seeks to give witness to the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ by celebrating the Sacraments, especially the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, serving the spiritual needs of approximately 1700 households, educating over 550 children in its parochial school and 160 children in its CCD program, and loving its neighbors through social and material outreach.
